LovelySEO started in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 2016. We were a two-person team doing local SEO for service businesses in the Fort Wayne area. We did good work, clients stayed, and the agency grew through referrals.
We are now a team of eleven. We still do mostly local and regional work, though some of our e-commerce and content clients are national. Our office is in Fort Wayne. Most of our clients are within driving distance, though we have never needed to drive to any of them - everything we do is digital.
The name is a bit unusual for an agency and we like it that way. It was not designed by a committee. It was the name on the first business card, and it stuck.
We have a principle we stick to: we do not take on clients we do not think we can genuinely help. Every month we turn down enquiries from businesses where the budget does not match the competitive reality, where the website is too broken to fix incrementally, or where the expectations are unrealistic. This makes our client base manageable and our retention rate very high.
Most of our team came from in-house marketing roles at Indiana companies. We know what it is like to be the person on the other side of an agency relationship who has to justify spending to someone else. That shapes how we report, how we communicate, and what we include in a monthly update.
